Introduction:

The development of this website is part of the dissemination plan of our NSF project. Under this plan we tasked ourselves to create a repository of electronic documents detailing prior maritime risk assessment work involving J.R. van Dorp, Thomas A. Mazzuchi and Jack Harrald, all from GWU, Jason Merrick from VCU, Richmond VA, and Martha Grabowski from RPI, Troy, New York. Publications and movies developed prior to this NSF project are organized on the left by the categories Journal Papers, Conference Proceedings, Technical Reports and Simulation Movies. Some publications not all team members have contributed to. By making these publications available to the general public, the research team above hopes to aid other researchers in avoiding the steap learning curve that they encountered in developing risk assessment methods in data sparse environments.
