We couldn't exactly leave without paying our respects to that other major landmark, could we? Whether you visited on your own accord or whether you were running an errand for a super-senior, Bhutnath left an indelible impression. Alas, the road to Bhutnath, while paved now, is also the town's garbage dump. It really stinks. We even saw a carcass being dumped and skinned amid the refuse.
Across from Bhutnath is the cremation ground,
now spruced up with an arched gateway. You may recall that
a student died in mysterious circumstances
in our first-year, after supposedly being forced
to drink a "tea-like liquid" by unknown outsiders
posing as seniors. What is true is that he got very sick,
that his door had to be broken down, and that he died
soon after reaching Sarvajanik. The assailants were
rumored to be thugs hired by the opposing side of
a family feud.
Here are some pictures of Bhutnath itself,
including the infamous Choudhari's room.
