Most of the material in this chapter has been discussed in lectures. We will be brief, therefore.
The game of Hangman is played by presenting the player with a target -- well-known word, phrase or saying in which all the letters have been replaced by a hyphen. The player repeatedly guesses a letter.
If the letter is contained in the target then all occurrences of that letter within the target are exposed. Otherwise, a new part of a depiction of a hanged victim is drawn. The player then goes on to make another guess.
