November 15 The exam originally scheduled for November 30 will now be on December 7. That's GW's "designated Monday", so we'll be on the Monday lab schedule, not the usual Wednesday class schedule. I'd like to run the exam over a period convenient for both lab sections. The exact schedule will be announced in class.

October 25 Slight break on Lab 7.
Lab 7 may be submitted up until 11.59 pm on Thursday 27 October subject to a 5 percent per day late penalty. If submitted between midnight and 11.59pm Wednesday points scored will be multiplied by 0.95. If submitted between midnight and 11.59pm Thursday points scored will be multiplied by 0.90.

October 10 New late lab policy: During the semester, each student is allowed to turn just one lab in at most one day late without penalty.

October 8 I've added a lot of hints for the C program you need to write in Lab 5.

Also please ensure that whatever system you are working on from now on has Java 1.5. You can check the version by typing "java -version". Your browser needs a Java 1.5 plugin so applets will work correctly. This can usually be set in the preferences. Finally, if you want to ssh to another machine, you must ensure that X-tunneling is permitted. Currently it is NOT permitted on Hobbes. Most graphic-oriented stuff just will not work without the tunneling.
