Addison Wesley is proud to announce that Ada 95, Problem Solving and Program Design, Second Edition will be packaged with a CD-ROM "Special Edition" of ObjectAda.

ObjectAda is a product of Aonix (formerly Thomson Software Products). This package will be available starting November 29, 1996. This Special Edition of ObjectAda may be used for any academic, experimental, or personal use without restriction. No site license is needed. Full commercial license is available separately from Aonix.

The package will be at the same price as the book alone, except for a nominal cost for packaging.

The CD-ROM package includes:

• Textbook: Ada 95: Problem Solving and Program Design, Second Edition, an introductory computer science textbook for Ada 95. The CD-ROM contains an HTML edition of the textbook.
• Compiler: A fast, disk-efficient full Ada95 compiler. ObjectAda is the first validated Ada 95 compiler for Windows 95.
• Special Edition capacity limits: Maximum 2000 lines of code per Ada source file; maximum 20 task objects per program; maximum 35 compilation units (packages, etc.) per program.
• Debugger: A multi-window, source-level, symbolic debugger with high-level support for Ada 95 features, including tagged types and protected types.
• Library Manager: A source-based library manager that minimizes persistent storage on disk, and eliminates traditional Ada library setup and complexity.
• Windows 95 Libraries: Object libraries and Ada 95 bindings (Ada-callable library interfaces) to permit writing full Windows 95 programs in Ada 95.
• On-Line Help: On-line, hypertext help and user guide, linked to the textbook and tools.

Specifications:

The CD-ROM will operate on personal computers and workstations running Windows95 or WindowsNT. Recommended RAM is 12 megabytes; disk space is about 100 megabytes; and recommended processor is 100 MHz Pentium but will run on a 486.
