Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.
- Calvin Coolidge

I'm a faculty member in the Computer Science department of The George Washington University. I received my PhD. from Boston University under the direction of Professor Richard West.

I lead the real-time systems group at GWU focusing on research in the Composite component based operating system. This research has been funded by multiple NSF grants, including the NSF CAREER award (for our work in predictable, system-level fault-tolerance). This work has been published in top real-time systems conferences, and we've received the best paper award, and a best-paper nomination.

If you're at GW, are interested in system implementation, like to learn how things work and make them do cool things, and are willing to put in some hard work, I'd love to talk about research.

Fun facts:

I seem to be significantly more boring now that I have been in the past. Regardless, come chat if you're in the mood!
